Electronic Signature Consent Agreement

Last updated: July 2026 · MyAjoNg Enterprises (RC 9668772)

MyAjo operates entirely through WhatsApp and USSD, where you do not sign paper documents or provide a handwritten signature. This Agreement explains how you give your consent and agreement electronically, and why that carries the same legal weight as a signature on paper.

1. What Counts as Your Signature on MyAjo

When you are asked to reply CONFIRM, YES, or a similar instruction to activate a savings plan, authorise a withdrawal, or agree to any terms presented to you, that reply is your electronic signature. It confirms that you have read, understood, and agreed to the specific terms shown to you immediately before that instruction.

2. Legal Basis

This is recognised under Nigerian law. Section 93(2) of the Evidence Act, 2011 provides that an electronic signature satisfies any legal requirement for a signature. Section 93(3) further provides that an electronic signature may be proved by showing that a procedure existed requiring a person to complete a specific action, such as replying with a confirmation word, in order to proceed with a transaction. Your reply of CONFIRM or YES, sent after being shown the relevant terms, is exactly this kind of procedure.

Section 84 of the Evidence Act, 2011 further provides that records generated by a computer system in the ordinary course of business, including your WhatsApp message history with MyAjo, are admissible as evidence of what was agreed.

3. What This Means in Practice

4. Your Right to Review Before Confirming

MyAjo will always show you the relevant terms, amounts, or fees before asking you to confirm. You are never asked to agree to something you have not been shown. If you do not understand something shown to you, you may reply HELP or contact support before confirming.

5. Withdrawing Consent

You may stop using MyAjo and decline to provide further electronic signatures at any time. This does not affect the validity of confirmations you have already given for actions already completed.
